The popularity of online filesharing means there is huge appeal when it comes to contemporary news, views and reviews. Unfortunately not many of the filesharing sites actually enter the arena of editorial content. When some original content does appear it tends to be regurgitated rubbish spewed out purely to gain rankings with the search engines rather than actually informing the reader.
Fortunately this is where the online
filesharing news section of the www.AresVista.com website really comes into its own. The news section presents fresh news in an engaging and interesting way. Whether you're interested in the latest melodramatic machinations of the latest pop-diva; the legal arguments for and against filesharing; or perhaps just in the regular technological advances (like
Ares Vista itself) that seem to dominate the industry, there's something here of interest.
Some Recent Online Filesharing News AnnouncementsI'll set out here some of the recent announcements on the AresVista site. This isn't meant to be a replacement for the news section itself, of course, but it might just whet your appetite enough to go and have a look for youself! Enjoy.

Cliff Richard Offers Online DownloadCliff Richard's latest album --and he intends to use a very clever and unique model to determine pricing. The price of the album will be anywhere between £3.99 and £7.99 (currently around $6.66 and $13.34 respectively) depending on how popular it is. This unique approach echoes slightly of the model employed by Radiohead in allowing fans to pay exactly how much they wanted to pay for the excellent In Rainbows release last year. Will it work? Who knows, but it will be interesting to find out.
French Record Companies Allowed To Track P2P SharingThe French courts have announced that record companies can track any P2P user who is sharing more than 50 music files over a 24 hour period. The records can be kept and later used as court evidence. The revolting French (note the use of the present participle rather than adjective there) started their quest to thrawt this perceived affront on their national liberty with the '51 files' project. Will it work?
Limewire-Related Arrest Applauded By ManyEven those who are against the thought of filesharing being legal have applauded the use of P2P Filesharing software Limewire to help apprehend a paedophile who was sharing indecent images online. Concerned filesharers spotted the images -- which included shots of his own daughter -- and infromed the authorities who were then able to track and arrest James Curtis Sorgman.
